Mater Dei High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Orange has two openings for a dynamic and dedicated educator to serve in the Religious Studies Department. This is a Long Term Substitute position for various dates beginning October 1, 2026- February 15, 2027.

Qualified candidates will be able to:

Support a student-centered atmosphere
Plan and execute lessons that are data driven, incorporate research-based methodologies, and are designed to engage and support all learners
Design learning experiences for students that place value on innovation, inquiry, and creativity
Offer collaborative and individual learning opportunities that support student growth
Incorporate educational technology into the classroom in an authentic manner to enhance the learning experience
Actively collaborate with fellow teachers to design lessons, analyze data, and write common assessments
Be supportive of the Mission and Philosophy of a Catholic school

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Either a Master’s Degree in Theology/Pastoral Theology from a Catholic Institution or a Master Catechist Certification preferred
High school teaching experience preferred
Be a practicing Roman Catholic

Daily Rate : $200.
