Job Description

 

Mater Dei High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Orange, has an immediate opening for an Assistant Athletic Performance Coach. This part-time, non-exempt position is responsible for enhancing our safe and effective training environment for student athletes while also supporting our coaching staff.  As an Assistant Athletic Performance Coach, you will provide individualized coaching and feedback that will help athletes maximize their strength and conditioning development.

 

An ideal candidate must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Candidate should be dedicated to upholding the mission and values of Catholic education and the Catholic Church, as envisioned in Church documents and teachings, rooted in our core principles of Honor, Glory, and Love.

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field is required.

 

Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years within a high school or collegiate setting

 

Rate: $25 hourly

 

Hours: Mon-Fri 1:00-5:00 pm

 

Certifications required:

• NFHS Concussion in Sports
• NFHS Heat Illness Prevention
• NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest
• First Aid/CPR/FA/AED
• Current NSCA-CSCS or CSCCa-SCCC
