Job Description
Mater Dei High School, a co-educational college preparatory Diocesan Catholic high school, has an opening for a School Bus Driver. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain school buses to transport students safely and efficiently to an assigned location using a designated route; perform regular safety inspections; prepare a variety of records and reports related to assigned activities.
PAID TRAINING PROVIDED TO EARN SCHOOL BUS DRIVER CERTIFICATION & REQUIRED LICENSES
Requirements:
- At least 21 years old
- Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years
- Be subject to a drug screen and physical
- Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
Additional Requirements after required completion of training, certification and licensing:
- Class A or B license for school bus and passenger transportation.
- Valid California commercial driver’s license with passenger and air brake endorsements.
- Valid school bus driver's certificate
This is a part time non-exempt position.
Schedule: Monday thru Friday; weekends as needed.
