Job Description

Mater Dei High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Orange has two openings for a dynamic and dedicated educator to serve in the Religious Studies Department. This is a Long Term Substitute position for various dates beginning October 1, 2026- February 15, 2027.

Qualified candidates will be able to:

• Support a student-centered atmosphere
• Plan and execute lessons that are data driven, incorporate research-based methodologies, and are designed to engage and support all learners
• Design learning experiences for students that place value on innovation, inquiry, and creativity
• Offer collaborative and individual learning opportunities that support student growth
• Incorporate educational technology into the classroom in an authentic manner to enhance the learning experience
• Actively collaborate with fellow teachers to design lessons, analyze data, and write common assessments
• Be supportive of the Mission and Philosophy of a Catholic school

 Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Either a Master’s Degree in Theology/Pastoral Theology from a Catholic Institution or a Master Catechist Certification preferred
  High school teaching experience preferred
• Be a practicing Roman Catholic

Daily Rate : $200.
