Job Description

Mater Dei High School, a co-educational college preparatory Diocesan Catholic high school has an opening for a Religious Studies teacher.  The ideal candidate will be a dedicated educator to serve in the Religious Studies Department.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/either a Master’s Degree in Theology/Pastoral Theology from a Catholic Institution (may be in process) or a Master Catechist Certification.
•  High School teaching experience preferred.
• Be a practicing Roman Catholic in alignment with the Roman Catholic Church.

• Plan and execute lessons that are data driven, incorporate research-based methodologies, and are designed to engage and support all learners
• Design learning experiences for students that place value on innovation, inquiry, and creativity
• Offer collaborative and individual learning opportunities that support student growth
• Incorporate educational technology into the classroom in an authentic manner to enhance the learning experience
• Actively collaborate with fellow teachers to design lessons, analyze data, and write common assessments
• Be supportive of the Mission and Philosophy of a Catholic school
